One of my icons, Rita Hayworth, who wore her hair very dark, red, and blonde. |
This is me. |
Here I am with my new strawberry hair color. Red goes crazy on camera, it's like Spring Break for color. In person my hair is duller and much less red. |
My daydream of going dark: could I be like Kristen Stewart, who's career didn't ignite until she went for dark hair? |
My nightmare of going dark: or could I be like Scarlett Johansson, who only truly shines in buttery blonde? And then how could I get back to light hair without frying it? |
I had photos taken of myself in some truly atrocious wigs, to see what I looked like now with different colors.
Me in scary wigs: yes, it's come to this. The cute brunette wig appears courtesy of Kim Airs, who uses it in her stage act where she becomes a man. Thank you Kimmy! |
So I've compiled some photos of my favorite hair colors changes....I'm living vicariously through these women until I find my own magic shade. Keep your fingers crossed for me everybody!

I vote for all three as I would feel any hair color you didn't chose just lost out. As a blonde, brunette, redhead or any other color, you would still look absolutely amazing. Yes, I know my noncommittal answer isn't much help. But I've been working on this comment for thirty minutes and you would look amazing no matter what hair color is the only honest answer I have.
You'd make any hair color amazing, and I vote plaid so no color feels left out, and because I have trouble giving a serious answer to anything.
Thank you so much for your thoughts Shayne! I really appreciate your taking the time to read my rambles and write a post. :) I'd love to have a different hair color for every mood, every day and for every type of role -- so I second you there! Hugs to you sweetie!! :)
LMAO that pic of ' this is me'. Omg! Hilarious but honey thats not how your friends see you! Sherry Dadci
I love all the colors .. you are gorgeous:) I think any color will look good if the hairstyle and make up matches with it ..Gigi
you shouldn't have to change to fit their preconceived ideas, you're already awesome...but if you must, pick something you can live with for everyday that can be modified with highlights and such if the role seems to call for it...I'm thinking either the chestnut brown or the dishwater blonde. Chip
Hi Amanda , love the wet cat pic! I still like the blond color. but also the brown of the woman in white on the left side of the two photos that are second from the bottom. I just dont think that the very dark brown-black will work for you. Love, lori
